Here is a little history of how kettle korn came about.
In the mid-1800's, the concept was developed by a Missouri farmer, who,
along with German immigrants, used to pop corn in their large cast iron kettles
after a long day of rendering lard from hogs. They would add a sweetener, such as
honey, molasses or sugar to the popcorn to achieve a special flavor. We have brought
this concept further by turning out the popped corn into a huge copper kettle after
popping in it the big black iron kettle (5 pounds of corn at a time) where we
stir the popping corn with a wooden paddle, actually an oak oar, then we sell
it in $2.00 bags and $4.00 bags. We hand out free samples of the popcorn
because people are intrigued by the aroma as well as the sight of it being
popped in the open kettle. The taste is so unusual, they must be shown that it
is not ordinary popcorn like they are accustomed to, as kettle korn contains no butter.

Kettle Korn is also freezable, so that it can be enjoyed year round.
Kettle Korn has no preservatives, no butter, low fat, & low cholesterol, however,
has a wonderfully sweet taste that is hard to resist!
